Radio advert scripts

Script One

Brand name/product name:

The brand for my advert is Apple and the name of the product is the iPhone 8.

Name of the advert:
The name of my advert is going to be "This is 8".

Tagline:
"Think less, do more".

Timing:
I want my advert to last for exactly 30 seconds.

Regulation Issues:

The most important regulations that I would have to follow are that the advertisement should not be offensive to anyone, should not include things like photosensitive epilepsy, should not be misleading and shot not harm or put children at risk.

First script
Style
The style of the first script and advert will be formal, simple and informative.

Persuasive techniques
For the first script and advertisement the main basis of it is going to be talking about facts about the product and providing the audience with information about the iPhone 8. expect the unexpected

Use of sound bed:
The radio advert will have one sound only which will be an instrumental that is played throughout.

SFX: Instrumental starts playing right at the start in background, it continues for whole advert.

MVO: Introducing the greatest smartphone ever. The new iPhone 8.

Second script

Style
The style of my second script is going to be informal than the first one but will also be informative to the listeners.

Persuasive techniques
The second script will be a conversation between two friends in college who are in a lesson at the time so they will have to speak and will also have them talking about the product's features so the audience know about the product.

Regulations
The most important regulation for the second script is that it doesn't put children at risk as I am going to be doing it with teenagers. This comes under regulatory code 5 and states "Children must be protected from advertisements that could cause physical, mental or moral harm." I also have to make sure that people will not find the advert offensive and intolerable.

SFX: The advert will have the background sound of the college and will also include an instrumental.

MVO 1: Hey, you alright?

MVO 2: Yeah, I'm great, just got the new iPhone 8.

MVO 1: Thats sick!

MVO 2: Its amazing, you definitely need to get one. Don't want people thinking your'e weird do you?

MVO 1: Nah of course not, whats new?

MVO 2: Everything.

MVO 1: (pauses) be specific.

MVO 2: The battery life is double that of last years and the camera quality is too good. There's a lot more though, guess you'll just have to buy one to find out.

MVO 1: Yeah, I guess so.

MVO 2: The new iPhone 8, think less, do more.
Sound: For this last line there will be an upbeat sting that follows each word.

SFX: All background noise such as pupils and teachers talking and the sounds of typing and computers.and music begins to lower and eventually cuts out.
